21st April 2013 club ride.
G'day all.
What a great day after the downpour we had Saturday.
I jumped on the old '51 BSA full of enthusiasm, and met up with George & Tom on club plated BMW's, Mustard & Me on plated BSA's, Rex on the Virago and Joe on the FJ1200. Two guests Mark & Sal on HD's.
"Destination decided on day" often turns into a good ride. With Joe suggesting a good one. The Wog(Italian) day at Sutton Forest. As none of our wog riding members showed up I thought what a great idea. First stop Jambaroo pub for the obligatory beer before mountain. The '51 is a bit slower than the Rhonda so I actually remember the ride up to the pie shop for a re-group. On to Sutton Forest for the wog (Italian) day at a winery (where else?). A bit disappointing as I couldn't understand a word of what they were saying. A few $200000 Mazzas a couple of $150000 Ferrari's, 2 old 2 stroke Ducks, a 2 stroke Guzzi and a 150 2 stroke MV.
After a warm beer and 2 cold hot dogs it's back down the hill to the Valley via Exeter. Little traffic was surprising but the slippery corners weren't. The Valley's beer was cold so had to have another to make sure. The little 500 kept Joe's 1200 honest over the hill, and a nice run home to Conjola. A whole day and we didn't lose Tom once.
Great day, great ride, great company. And only had to use two zip ties out of the tool bag.
Cheers
